I'm continuing my work on code automation for my application, AIDBDeveloper. This time, I've set my sights quite a bit higher: generating all the classes needed to implement the editor for this very blog as a class library integrated into the platform.

In this article, I’m presenting the first video in a new series about automating code generation with artificial intelligence. The idea is not to find the best agent capable of generating an entire application, or to work out how many agents we need to chain together to get better results. In fact, the approach is almost the opposite.

A few years ago, I started a fairly ambitious project: building a database of words and multi-word terms that could be used to analyse texts automatically. The idea was to gather enough syntactic, lexical and semantic information to dissect a text and, from that data, study its structure, style and content.

Some time ago, I published an AI-integrated chess database application on this blog. That project was already an experiment in making AI part of the application itself, rather than simply placing a chatbot next to it.
AIDBDeveloper is the natural evolution of that idea.

AIChessDB is a chess game database capable of working with several database servers at the same time. It currently supports Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server. It is also an application integrated with artificial intelligence assistants that help users understand and operate the forms, perform configuration tasks, and even teach chess, play against the user or each other, or search and comment on games stored in the database.

In this article, I’m going to introduce a chess game database application fully integrated with artificial intelligence. Instead of the traditional menus, it features a console where we can interact with a group of AI assistants. These assistants help us understand, learn to use, and configure the application. They can also perform tasks for us—such as searching for games in the database, adding commentary, or even playing chess with us.

It’s been quite a while—probably since the pandemic—since I last wrote anything new on this blog. I’ve been pretty busy with other projects, the most important of which has been learning as much as possible about artificial intelligence. I feel I’ve now made enough progress to start building interesting things with it, so I’m bringing the blog back to life with a new section focused mainly on integrating AI into applications, especially .NET applications.
